Basic request terms for Console Repair Canada.

Console Repair Canada is an MRC specialist site. Submitting the form sends a request for review; it does not reserve a time, authorize work or guarantee a repair. Canada is our main market. International mail-in service is available only for jobs MRC accepts. Do not mail a console until MRC provides shipping instructions.
International mail-in
International customers must wait for job-specific customs-broker, carrier and return-cost instructions. The customer is responsible for shipping, customs, duties, taxes, brokerage, insurance and return costs. Service availability and permitted shipping routes depend on the origin country, console and carrier restrictions.
Console Certification
The advertised $50 CAD plus tax covers one Console Certification on one supported used PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch / handheld console after model acceptance. MRC compares the console with its listing and expected reference configuration and records factual observations about its identifiers, model, required chip population, board and other required assemblies. This can reveal missing, substituted or changed chips and other discrepancies found in deceptive marketplace or aftermarket sales. MRC also attempts to boot the console on the shop testing rig; if it boots, the customer receives a written test report describing the checks completed and observed results. Console Certification reports only facts observed on the inspected console. It does not state that the console meets OEM standards and is not a repair diagnostic, authenticity guarantee, performance guarantee, warranty or proof that no latent fault exists. MRC does not determine seller intent, ownership or make legal findings of fraud. Shipping, repair and parts are extra, and the fee is non-refundable once certification begins.
Repair assessment, diagnostic and quote
The free intake assessment is only used to decide whether MRC will accept the job. It is not the repair diagnostic. After an accepted console arrives, MRC performs a proper diagnostic and provides a quote before any repair work begins. Repair work starts only after the customer approves that quote. Only the scope, price and other job-specific details MRC actually provides for that job apply.
